With the focus on Olympic class selection a very significant decision at the ISAF annual conference has been overshadowed and almost missed by the media.
A recommendation that did get approved by the council from their committees is that from 2010 the 29er will be at all future ISAF Youth World championships as the ‘Open high performance boat’
This is excellent news since it will allow teams and parents to choose a pathway and stick to it rather than being forced to change back and forth each year.
It also gives the option for mixed teams to race which in the past has proved very successful at Class National and World Championships.
